Splitgate 2 – Social Motion Graphics

A lightweight motion system built to reduce video workload while showcasing high-tier cosmetics

Challenge:

Our video team was spending significant time creating full trailers to show off weapon mastery skins. We needed a faster and more flexible solution that could highlight progression and quality while still feeling on-brand and engaging for social.

Approach:

— Explored multiple animation treatments that could work with simple in-game weapon footage
— Focused on reveal motion that felt clean, energetic, and uniquely Splitgate
— Developed a final animation style inspired by the game’s portal effect using vibrant brand colors and layered transitions
— Built a motion rhythm that matched social pacing while highlighting detail in the weapons
— Created an animation system that could be easily replicated for new skins without requiring full trailer production

Solution:

A motion-based social asset format that showcases the progression of weapon mastery skins using in-game captures, custom animation overlays, and brand-driven transitions. This format can be reused and updated quickly, cutting production time and giving the team a scalable way to support cosmetic reveals.
